First, you need to obtain your Google ID. Here is the easiest way to find your Google ID which we will use to create a Google review link:



  • Step 2: In the ‘Enter a location‘ field write your company name


NOTE: If your company does not pop up, skip to Step 5  and follow these steps. This is the source code method of obtaining your Google ID.


  • Step 3: Click on your company name that appears in the drop-down list

Your Place ID will appear in the popover and you will just need to copy it


  • Step 4: Paste this ID number at the end of the link below, after the = sign.

You now have your Google Review Link and can skip step 5 and continue onto step 6.



  • Step 5: We will obtain your Google ID using the source code method. If this feels too daunting feel free to reach out to support and we are happy to help.


    • Bring up your Google My Business page in Google


    • Click ‘Write a Review’


    • We are going to change the URL on this page by adding view-source: to the beginning of the URL, so it will look like this:

    • Hit enter to open the source code page


    • Open the search feature. This is ctrl F on a PC or ⌘F on a Mac’


    • Type data-PID into the search bar and hit enter


    • You will see data-PID is now highlighted. Copy the line of text beside data-PID inside the quotation marks. Refer to the graphic below.






    • Paste this ID number at the end of this link, after the = sign.

This will be your Google Link, continue onto the final steps below!




Once the Google link is acquired follow these final steps to add Google as a Review Site.


  • Step 6: Head over to your Rei account.


    • If you have multiple locations, select the location you would like to add a site to from the drop down menu on the header.


    • Click “Settings” in the left hand menu


    • Select “Review Sites”


    • In the top right corner on “Review Sites’ page, select “Add Review Site”



    • Select Google from the drop down menu


    • Enter in the Google link you copied from Step 4 or 5


    • Click ‘View Site’ to test the link is correct


    • Select ‘yes’ to activate the review site, assuming you want it to show up to your customers


    • Select Add Review Site’ button




That’s it! Your customers will now have the option to leave you a review on Google when you send them a review request!
